  • Zipper

Cutter's Must

  • From main fabric:
  • 1. Front facing - 1 piece on fold
  • 2. Back facing - 2 pieces
  • 3. Back - 2 pieces
  • 4. Front - 1 piece on fold
  • From fusible interfacing: fuse facing pieces with fusible interfacing.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch darts on the front skirt half and back skirt half, press them towards the center.
  2. Stitch the back center seam between the zipper and vent notches, stitch the side seams. Insert the zipper.
  3. Stitch the side seams on the facings. Place the facing and skirt right sides together and stitch to the upper edge of the skirt. Trim seam allowances close to the stitching, turn towards the facing and topstitch close to the edge. Turn the facing to the wrong side and sew to the dart depths and seam allowances. Fold the ends of the facing and sew to the zipper tapes.
  4. Press the hem allowance to the wrong side and hem. Press the integrated vent facing (left back) along the fold line to the wrong side and sew to the hem. Hem the longitudinal side of the vent allowance (right back) as narrowly as possible. Topstitch the left back diagonally at the top of the vent, catching the vent allowance.
