Pattern #5252
Tech. Description

V-Neck Button-Front Camisole Top

Introducing a charming sewing pattern for a V-neck button-front camisole, featuring a fitted bodice, a gathered bust, and delicate lace-trimmed edges — the top of a pretty loungewear set.

When To Wear

This soft, feminine camisole is designed for relaxed comfort, making it an ideal choice for:

  • Loungewear & Homewear: Elegant and comfortable for relaxing at home.
  • Sleepwear: A soft, breathable top paired with matching bottoms for a coordinated set.
  • Warm Weather Ease: An airy, pretty choice for warm spring and summer evenings.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: A close-fitting bodice that nips in gently at the waist, shaped with tailored seams.

Neckline: A soft V-neckline, framed with a delicate lace trim.

Closure: A full centre-front button closure with seven buttons, from the V-neck to the hem.

Gathered Bust: Softly gathered upper front panels create gentle fullness over the bust for a flattering, feminine shape.

Armholes: Sleeveless, with armholes finished in the same delicate lace trim.

Back: Tailored with princess seams for a contoured, fitted silhouette.

Hem: A clean lower hem, edged with lace trim to match the neckline and armholes.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Involves precise seaming, gathering, buttonhole creation, and delicate lace-trim application.

Fabric Recommendations

Choose lightweight fabrics with a soft drape to enhance the garment's feminine appeal:

  • Broderie anglaise (eyelet) cotton
  • Fine cotton — batiste, lawn, or voile
  • Lightweight silk fabrics

Additional Supplies

  • Lace strip, 1 cm wide
  • 7 buttons

Cutter's Must

  • From main fabric:
  • 1. Center back - 1 piece on fold
  • 2. Side back - 2 pieces
  • 3. Side front - 2 pieces
  • 4. Center front - 2 pieces
  • 5. Upper front - 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch the center front panels to the side panels. Gather the upper front panels between the notches and stitch them to the lower parts.
