Sewing Instructions
- On the guipure lace pattern pieces, stitch the darts, sew the front princess seams, side and shoulder seams, and SLEEVE seams.
- Trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES of each seam to 0.75 cm, overcast them together, and press them to one side. Press the dart depths towards the center line.
- From the BIAS BINDING, stitch the narrowest possible rouleau loop, cut it into segments approx. 5 cm long, and shape each segment into a loop.
- Pin the loops to the center edge of the left outer BACK PANEL at equal intervals, with the tops of the loops lying on the BACK PANEL and the ends on the SEAM ALLOWANCE of the edge. The size of the loop depends on the button diameter.
- Fold the outer and inner upper guipure lace parts right sides together and stitch the center BACK PANEL edges and the neckline edges. Trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES to 0.5 cm, turn the top of the dress right side out, and topstitch along the center BACK PANEL edges and neckline close to the edge.
- Baste the lower edges and armhole edges without turning under.
- Fold the SLEEVE pieces in pairs, stitch along the lower edges, and topstitch close to the edge. Baste the open upper edges.
- Set in the SLEEVES, easing the cap. Trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES close to the stitching and overcast.
- Stitch the princess seams, side seams, and center seam on the SKIRT, leaving an opening for the ZIPPER at the top of the center seam.
- Attach the SKIRT to the BODICE of the dress, press the SEAM ALLOWANCES downwards.
- Attach the ZIPPER so that the teeth are not visible, and turn under the upper ends of the tape.
- Fold the hem allowance to the wrong side, turn under, and topstitch.
