Sewing Instructions
- Reinforce FACINGS with FUSIBLE INTERFACING (Heat-adhesive interlinings are ironed onto the wrong side of the piece with a strongly heated iron), as well as the upper FLAP pieces.
- Stitch darts on the BACK SKIRT HALF, press depths towards the center.
- Stitch the back center seam below the slit mark for the ZIPPER, press SEAM ALLOWANCES open. Baste the ZIPPER under the edges of the slit, stitch from the right side.
- Stitch the front center seam, press SEAM ALLOWANCES open.
- Press POCKET SEAM ALLOWANCES inwards, place it according to the marking on the right FRONT PANEL and topstitch. Stitch the FLAP along the side and bottom edges. Turn out, press. Place the FLAP on the right FRONT PANEL above the POCKET and stitch. Press downwards and topstitch at a distance of 0.7 from the edge.
- Stitch the skirt's side seams up to the slit marks.
- Stitch the side seams on the FACINGS.
- Finish the top of the skirt with the FACING, press SEAM ALLOWANCES onto the FACING and topstitch, turn out and overcast the open edge of the FACING. Fold under the ends of the FACING and sew to the ZIPPER tape.
- Baste ZIPPERS under the edges of the side slits so that they open from bottom to top, topstitch close to the edge.
- Fold under the SEAM ALLOWANCES for the hem of the GUSSETS and topstitch. Place the GUSSETS on the ZIPPER tapes and the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the side slits right sides together, topstitch close to the ZIPPER teeth.
- Fold under the SEAM ALLOWANCE for the skirt hem, hem with blind stitches.
