CUTTER'S MUST

  • From main fabric:
    1. BACK SKIRT HALF - 1 QTY ON FOLD
    2. FRONT SKIRT HALF - 1 QTY ON FOLD
    3. FRONT YOKE - 1 QTY ON FOLD
    4. BACK YOKE - 1 QTY ON FOLD
    5. belt loop - 4 QTY
  • From FUSIBLE INTERFACING: lower yoke pieces.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Reinforce lower yoke pieces with fusible interfacing.
  2. Stitch the lower edges of the yokes to the upper edges of the skirt halves, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the yokes.
  3. Stitch the left side seam of the skirt up to the slit mark. Stitch the right side seam of the skirt below the zipper slit mark and up to the slit mark, press SEAM ALLOWANCES open. Baste the ZIPPER under the edges of the slit, stitch from the right side.
  4. Stitch the side seams on the lower yokes.
  5. Face the top of the skirt with the lower yokes, topstitch the SEAM ALLOWANCES onto them, turn out and press. Topstitch the open edges of the lower yokes into the seam attaching the upper yokes. Turn under the side edges of the lower yokes and sew to the zipper tape.
  6. Topstitch the slit SEAM ALLOWANCES onto the skirt halves according to the markings.
  7. Turn under the hem allowance of the skirt, topstitch.
  8. Stitch the longitudinal edges of the belt loops, turn out, press. Topstitch the ends of the belt loops onto the yokes according to the markings.
