CUTTER'S MUST

  • From main fabric:
  • 1. FRONT PANEL - 1 QTY on fold
  • 2. BACK PANEL - 2 QTY
  • 3. SLEEVE - 2 QTY
  • 4. Neckline TRIM STRIP - 2 QTY on fold
  • From FUSIBLE INTERFACING: Interface only the outer part of the neckline TRIM STRIP.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Press the fusible interfacing to the outer part of the TRIM STRIP made of knit fabric (Heat-activated interfacings are pressed to the wrong side of the piece with a hot iron).
  2. Stitch the center back seam and side seams. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES open.
  3. Stitch the SLEEVE seams. Press the hem SEAM ALLOWANCES of the SLEEVES to the wrong side and topstitch at a distance of 2 cm with a twin needle.
  4. Set the SLEEVES into the open armholes. In the upper parts of the armholes, press the SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL.
  5. Fold the outer and inner parts of the neckline TRIM STRIP in half, right sides together, pin and stitch the back center edges. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES open.
  6. Place both TRIM STRIP parts right sides together and pin the neckline edges. Stitch. Trim SEAM ALLOWANCES close to the stitching line, make NOTCHES at curves and along the center front line towards the stitching.
  7. Turn the TRIM STRIP right side out. Baste and press the edge, baste the open edges.
  8. To prevent the front corner from fraying, press a small piece of interfacing to the wrong side of the FRONT PANEL over the marked stitching line of the TRIM STRIP attachment.
  9. Pin the TRIM STRIP to the neckline from the center front line to the center back seam, aligning the marked stitching lines of the TRIM STRIP attachment and the cross NOTCHES. The outer TRIM STRIP part lies on the right side of the garment.
  10. Stitch the TRIM STRIP, making a backstitch at the beginning and end of the seam. Make a NOTCH on the FRONT PANEL allowance along the center front line to the last stitch.
  11. Then pin and stitch the second half of the TRIM STRIP to the neckline from the center front line to the center back seam. Make a backstitch at the beginning and end of the seam.
  12. Overlock the TRIM STRIP attachment SEAM ALLOWANCES together and press towards the FRONT PANEL, BACK PANEL, and SLEEVES.
  13. Press the hem SEAM ALLOWANCE of the blouse to the wrong side and topstitch at a distance of 2 cm with a twin needle.
