CUTTER'S MUST
- From main fabric:
- BACK PANEL - 1 QTY on fold
- FRONT PANEL - 2 QTY
- COLLAR - 2 QTY
- COLLAR stand - 2 QTY
- SLEEVE - 2 QTY
- CUFF - 4 QTY
- Placket - 2 QTY
- Interfacing: reinforce placket, CUFFs, COLLARs and stands with FUSIBLE INTERFACING.
Sewing Instructions
- Reinforce the placket, CUFFs, COLLARs, and stands with FUSIBLE INTERFACING (Heat-activated interfacings are ironed onto the wrong side of the fabric piece with a hot iron).
- Stitch the darts.
- Complete the side and shoulder SEAMs.
- Press the SEAM ALLOWANCE along one of the long sides of the placket to the wrong side.
- Place the placket right sides together with the FRONT PANEL and stitch, press the SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the placket.
- Cleanly understitch the bottom edge of the placket.
- Topstitch the placket along the attachment SEAM to the FRONT PANEL, catching the lower part of the placket.
- Turn up and topstitch the hem allowance of the blouse.
- Cleanly understitch the COLLAR along the outer contour.
- Fold the COLLAR stand pieces right sides together, placing the COLLAR between the upper edges.
- Cleanly understitch the stand along the front and upper edges.
- Attach the outer stand piece to the neckline, turn under the inner stand piece and sew it over the attachment SEAM.
- On the right end of the stand, make a buttonhole.
- Complete the SLEEVE SEAM up to the slit NOTCH, press the SEAM ALLOWANCES open.
- At the bottom edge of the SLEEVE, create and baste the pleats.
- Fold the CUFF pieces right sides together and cleanly understitch along the contour.
- Attach the outer half of the CUFF to the bottom edge of the SLEEVE, turn under the inner half and sew it over the attachment SEAM.
- Set in the SLEEVEs, easing them at the sleeve caps.
- Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the SLEEVE attachment SEAM at the sleeve cap area towards the SLEEVE.
- Along the placket of the right FRONT PANEL, make 5 buttonholes; on the CUFFs, make 1 buttonhole each.
