From main fabric: 1. PATCH POCKET - 1 QTY 2. BACK SKIRT HALF - 1 QTY on fold 3. UPPER FRONT PANEL - 1 QTY 4. LOWER FRONT PANEL - 1 QTY 5. PATCH POCKET FLAP - 2 QTY 6. BELT LOOP - 1 QTY 7. UPPER FRONT PANEL FACING - 1 QTY 8. LOWER FRONT PANEL FACING - 1 QTY 9. BACK FACING - 1 QTY on fold From FUSIBLE INTERFACING: flap, FACINGS.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Reinforce the FACING pieces and one pocket flap piece with FUSIBLE INTERFACING. (Heat-activated interfacings are pressed onto the wrong side of the piece with a hot iron).
  2. Stitch darts and side seams.
  3. Place pocket flap pieces right sides together, stitch along the outer edges, turn right side out, press, and topstitch along the edge and 5 mm from the edge. Create pleats on the patch pocket according to markings, press, and topstitch 3 mm from the folds. Press the top hem of the pocket inwards, turn under the edge, and stitch along the edge.
  4. Press the outer edges of the patch pocket inwards, place the pocket on the main garment according to markings and topstitch - first the side edges of the pocket without catching the pleat, then the bottom edge. Place the patch pocket flap, turned upwards, on the right side of the skirt and stitch. Turn the flap downwards, press, and topstitch with a double stitch.
  5. Stitch the side seams of the skirt FACINGS. Place the FACINGS on the main garment right side in and stitch. Baste and press. From the right side of the garment, sew a decorative topstitch along the top edge of the skirt.
  6. Press the allowances for the slit and the bottom hem to the wrong side, turn under, and topstitch.
  7. Fold the belt loop piece in half lengthwise, right sides together, stitch along the long edges, turn right side out, press, and topstitch. Cut the belt loop piece into six parts. Turn under the raw edges and stitch the belt loops to the top of the skirt in accordance with the darts of the FRONT PANELS and BACK SKIRT HALF and on the side seams.
  8. Make buttonholes according to markings. Sew buttons in corresponding places.
