Sewing Instructions

  1. Reinforce the waistband with FUSIBLE INTERFACING (Heat-activated interfacings are pressed onto the wrong side of the fabric with a hot iron).
  2. Stitch the darts on the FRONT SKIRT HALF and BACK SKIRT HALF, press them towards the center.
  3. Stitch the center back seam between the marks for the ZIPPER opening and the vent. Press the edges of the opening. Attach the ZIPPER under the edges of the upper opening so that the teeth are not visible.
  4. Stitch the side seams.
  5. On the LINING, stitch the darts and seams. Place the LINING into the skirt, wrong side to wrong side, turn under the SEAM ALLOWANCES at the ZIPPER opening and sew to the ZIPPER tapes, baste the LINING to the upper edge of the skirt.

  7. Hem the skirt. Press the integrated vent FACING (left BACK PANEL) along the fold line to the wrong side and sew to the hem. Hem the longitudinal side of the vent SEAM ALLOWANCE (right BACK PANEL) as narrowly as possible. Topstitch the left BACK PANEL diagonally at the top of the vent, catching the vent SEAM ALLOWANCE.
  8. Hem the LINING so that it is 2 cm shorter than the skirt. Turn under the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the opening and secure at the vent.
