Sewing Instructions
- Stitch darts, press dart bulk towards the center line.
- Stitch the center back seam, leaving the top open for the ZIPPER closure. Insert the ZIPPER.
- Baste the SEAM ALLOWANCE of the upper edge of the front FLOUNCE to the wrong side. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the left and lower edges of the FLOUNCE to the wrong side. Finish the front lower corner as an envelope. Topstitch the FLOUNCE along the left and lower edges with a twin needle, and along the upper edge with a single stitch.
- Place the front FLOUNCE wrong side down onto the right side of the front panel, baste the right side seams, ensuring that the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the upper and lower edges of the front panel extend beyond the corresponding edges of the FLOUNCE. Stitch the side seams.
- Stitch the side seams on the FACINGS. Fold the FACING with the skirt right sides together and stitch to the upper edge of the skirt, without catching the front FLOUNCE. Trim the seam allowances close to the stitching, turn towards the FACING, and edgestitch. Turn the FACING to the wrong side and sew to the dart bulk and seam allowances. Fold under the ends of the FACING and sew to the ZIPPER tapes.
- On the front FLOUNCE, make a buttonhole; sew a button onto the front panel in the corresponding position.
