Cutter's Must
- From main fabric:
- 1. Back gore - 1 piece on fold
- 2. Back side gore - 2 pieces
- 3. Front side gore - 2 pieces
- 4. Front gore - 1 piece on fold
- 5. Waistband - 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse fusible interfacing to the waistband.
- Stitch all skirt seams, leaving the zipper opening unstitched in the left side seam. Overlock seams together, press open the left side seam.
- Insert the zipper so that the teeth are not visible.
- Attach the waistband to the skirt, leaving the waistband closure allowance extending beyond the right edge of the zipper. Press the waistband attachment seam allowances and the open longitudinal edge of the waistband towards the waistband. Fold the waistband in half lengthwise and stitch the short edges and the closure allowance edges. Turn the waistband right side out and topstitch the inner edge into the waistband attachment seam.
- Press the hem allowance to the wrong side, fold the raw edge inwards to a width of 1 cm and topstitch.
- On the waistband, make a buttonhole and sew on a button.
