Maxi Skirt with Wrap Front and Buttons

CUTTER'S MUST

• From main fabric:
1. BACK SKIRT HALF - QTY 2
2. FRONT SKIRT HALF - QTY 2
3. Waistband - QTY 1
4. FACING - QTY 2
• From FUSIBLE INTERFACING: fuse the waistband and FACING pieces with FUSIBLE INTERFACING.

Sewing Instructions

1. Stitch the darts on the FRONT SKIRT HALF and BACK SKIRT HALF, press them towards the center.
2. Stitch the back center seam between the ZIPPER and slit marks. Insert the ZIPPER.
3. Press the slit SEAM ALLOWANCES to the wrong side and topstitch.
4. Face the FRONT SKIRT HALF with the FACING, press the SEAM ALLOWANCES open, turn out, and overlock the raw edge of the FACING. Topstitch at a distance of 2.0 cm.
5. Stitch the side seams of the skirt.
6. Pin the waistband right sides together to the upper edge of the skirt, stitch. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the attachment seam towards the waistband. Fold the waistband right sides together in half widthwise, stitch the ends. Turn out the waistband, fold under the inner edge of the waistband and pin so that the inner edge extends approximately 2 mm beyond the attachment seam. Topstitch the inner edge from the right side into the waistband attachment seam. On the left side of the waistband, make a buttonhole, on the right side, sew on a button.
7. Fold under the hem SEAM ALLOWANCE of the skirt and topstitch. Sew on decorative buttons.
