  • 2. BACK PANEL (side) – 2 QTY

  • 4. FRONT PANEL (side) – 2 QTY
  • 5. FACING (front) – 2 QTY
  • 6. NECKLINE FACING – 1 QTY
  • From LINING fabric:
  • 1. BACK PANEL (center) – 1 QTY
  • 2. BACK PANEL (side) - 2 QTY
  • 3. FRONT PANEL (side) – 2 QTY
  • FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING: front facing, back neckline facing, center front panel.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to front facing, back neckline facing, and center front panel.
  2. Stitch and press open the front darts/princess seams.
  3. Stitch the center back seam and back darts/princess seams. Press open the darts/princess seams and center back seam.
  4. Attach the back neckline facing to the front facings and press open the shoulder seams of the facing and front facing.
  5. Stitch and press open the vest's shoulder seams.
  6. Place the front facing right side down onto the right side of the center front panel. Stitch the front edges and back neckline with the front facings and neckline facing.
  7. Stitch the LINING pieces, leaving the side seams unstitched. Press the LINING.
  8. Place the LINING and vest right sides together and stitch to the inner edges of the front facings and neckline facing, leaving open sections of about 10cm at the bottom, and also to the armhole edges. Trim SEAM ALLOWANCES close to the stitching. Pull the front panels back through the shoulder tunnels and turn the vest right side out through one of the open side seams. Stitch the vest's side seam and the LINING's side seam with a single continuous stitch on each side.
  9. Press the hem allowance of the vest to the wrong side and hand stitch. Stitch the front facings to the hem allowance.
  10. On the right front panel, overcast the buttonholes, and on the left front panel, sew on the buttons.
