FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: blouse fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing, decorative ribbon 0.5-0.8 cm wide (approximate length indicated on the front pattern piece).
CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance – 2 cm; other seams – 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- From main fabric:
- Back - 2 pieces
- Front - 1 piece on fold
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
- Back neckline facing – 1 piece
- Sleeve cap – 2 pieces
- Collar – 1 piece
- From fusible interfacing:
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
- Back neckline facing – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
- Stitch darts on the front. Press dart allowances upwards. Stitch darts on the back. Press dart allowances towards the center. Stitch the center back seam, overcast allowances and press to the left side.
- Stitch side and shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and overcast.
- Stitch shoulder seams of neckline facings. Press allowances open. Overcast the outer edge.
- Fold the collar lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the corners. Trim allowances, turn right side out, and press. Attach the collar to the neckline, forming arbitrary pleats.
- Place the facing on the blouse right sides together (the collar is positioned between the facing and the neckline) and stitch the neckline and neckline opening. Trim allowances, clip curves, turn the facing to the wrong side. Secure the facing to the shoulder seams. Topstitch the decorative ribbon to the collar attachment seam from the right side, forming a tie.
- Fold the sleeve cap lengthwise in half, right sides together, and press. Attach the sleeve cap to the sleeve, forming arbitrary pleats. Overcast allowances.
- Cut (if not ready-made) a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the length of the lower armhole + 5 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, wrong sides together, and press. Place the binding with the armhole edge right sides together and stitch. Clip allowances. Fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
- Overcast the hem allowance, press to the wrong side, and press.
