CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical details).

  • From main fabric:
    • Back – 2 pieces
    • Front – 2 pieces
    • Pocket – 4 pieces
  • From main fabric 1:
    • Back – 2 pieces
    • Front – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Stitch the center back seam on the outer back, press seam allowances open.
  2. Stitch the darts on the front pieces, press the dart folds upwards.
  3. Stitch the shoulder and side seams, press seam allowances open. Stitch the collar seam, press seam allowances open. Clip the seam allowance at the shoulder seam and set the collar into the neckline.
  4. Similarly, finish the inner side of the vest, leaving an opening in the left side seam.
  5. Place pocket pieces right sides together and stitch along the contour, leaving an opening. Clip seam allowances, trim corners. Turn right side out through the opening. Hand-stitch the opening closed. Topstitch the pocket onto the right side according to the mark.
  6. Place the outer and inner vests right sides together and stitch along the front edge, collar, and bottom. Turn right side out through the opening in the side seam. Finish the armhole in two steps: first the front armhole, then the back armhole. Hand-stitch the technical opening in the side seam closed.
