This charming jacket offers versatility for various smart and sophisticated settings, making it perfect for:
Silhouette: a tailored and fitted silhouette, cut to a sophisticated cropped length.
Neckline & Collar: Features a classic, rounded Peter Pan collar for a charming and timeless appeal.
Closure: Single-breasted front with a clean placket and three button closures.
Sleeves: Long, set-in sleeves with a two-piece construction for a shaped and refined arm line.
Pockets: Two elegantly curved patch pockets positioned on the front panels.
Back: a clean back design, subtly shaped with princess seams for a flattering fit.
Intermediate. Requires experience with tailoring techniques including lining, interfacing, setting a collar, constructing patch pockets, and assembling two-piece sleeves.
For a structured and elegant finish, select suiting materials with a stable weave:
If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, seam allowances are not included. Seam allowances: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for jacket bottom and sleeve bottom - 3 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).
Attention: Front and back lining pieces are cut according to the main fabric patterns, subtracting the width of the front facings and back neckline facing, respectively.
When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
