FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: thin blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing; decorative trim (approximate length indicated on the front pattern piece); elastic thread.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Front – 1 piece on fold
    • Back – 1 piece on fold
    • Insert – 2 pieces
    • Cuff – 2 pieces
    • Back waistband – 1 piece
    • Front waistband – 1 piece
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Cuff – 2 pieces
    • Front waistband – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
  2. Fold and stitch the pleats on the front from the bottom edge along the marked lines, press the pleat depths towards the center.
  3. Overcast the neckline edge of the insert, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Topstitch decorative trim along the neckline edge.
  4. Attach the insert to the back, press seam allowances towards the back, overcast. Topstitch the back neckline section between the marks. Attach the insert to the front, simultaneously stitching the upper sleeve seam. Press seam allowances towards the front and overcast. Topstitch the front neckline section between the marks. Topstitch decorative trim onto the back and front along the neckline and the upper sleeve seam.
  5. Stitch the side seams simultaneously with the sleeve seam, press seam allowances towards the back and overcast.
  6. Stitch the cuff into a loop, press seam allowances open. Fold the cuff lengthwise in half, right side out, and press. Attach the outer side of the cuff to the lower edge of the sleeve, press seam allowances upwards. Press the seam allowance of the inner cuff edge to the wrong side and topstitch into the attachment seam.
  7. Stitch the back and front waistbands together, press seam allowances open. Fold the waistband lengthwise in half, right side out, and press. Attach the waistband to the bottom of the garment, press seam allowances upwards and overcast. Topstitch parallel decorative stitches with elastic thread around the perimeter of the back waistband.
