Cutter's Must
If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, the patterns are without seam allowances. Seam allowances: all allowances – 1 cm. Hem allowance for the garment bottom – 2.0 cm. Hem allowance for flounce bottoms – 1.2 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
- From main fabric:
- Back - 1 piece on fold
- Front - 1 piece on fold
- Collar - 1 piece
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
- Small flounce – 2 pieces
- Large flounce – 2 pieces
Sewing Instructions
- On the front piece, stitch the bust darts, press the fullness upwards.
- Make a slit on the front from the neckline to the mark along the designated line. Cut a bias binding from the main fabric, 4 cm wide and a length equal to twice the slit length + 4 cm. Fold the binding in half lengthwise and press. Press the outer allowances towards the center. Finish the slit with the bias binding.
- Stitch the shoulder and side seams. Press allowances towards the back and overlock.
- Fold the collar in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the corners and ties up to the mark. Clip allowances at marks, trim at corners. Turn the collar right side out. Attach the outer collar to the neckline. Fold the allowance of the inner collar inwards and topstitch into the seam of the outer collar attachment.
- Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowances and overlock. Set sleeves into armholes, matching notches. Press allowances and overlock.
- Stitch the flounce into a loop, press allowances open and overlock. Overlock the bottom edge, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Insert the large flounce into the small one and secure along the top edge. Attach the flounces to the bottom edge of the sleeve, press allowances upwards and overlock.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
