Fabric recommendations: dress fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. You will also need: fusible interfacing, a concealed zipper.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: hem allowance and sleeve hem allowance - 1.5 cm, other seams 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

• From main fabric:
  • Upper back part – 2 pieces
  • Back insert — 2 pieces
  • Front yoke — 4 pieces
  • Upper front part — 1 piece
  • Front insert — 1 piece
  • Lower central back part — 2 pieces
  • Lower side back part — 2 pieces
  • Lower side front part — 2 pieces
  • Lower central front part — 1 piece
  • Sleeve — 2 pieces
  • Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
  • Front neckline facing – 1 piece
• From fusible interfacing:
  • Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
  • Front neckline facing – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

1. Stitch darts on upper back pieces, press allowances towards the center back. Attach back insert to upper part, press allowances onto insert and overlock.
2. Stitch relief seams of lower back part, press allowances towards the center and overlock. Attach lower part to insert, press allowances onto insert and overlock.
3. Overlock center back seam separately on each piece. Stitch center back seam from zipper mark downwards. Press seam allowances open, pressing the slit. Insert concealed zipper.
4. Fold front neckline facing with upper part right sides together and stitch neckline. Clip allowances at corner, turn facing to wrong side, press.
5. Along the upper edge of the upper front part, stitch with loosened thread and gather. Fold front yoke pieces right sides together, place upper front part between them and stitch. Clip allowances at curves, turn yoke to right side, press. Then treat yokes as one piece.
6. Along the lower edge of the upper front part, stitch with loosened thread and gather. Attach front insert to upper part, press allowances onto insert and overlock.
7. Stitch relief seams of lower front part, press allowances towards the center and overlock. Attach lower part to insert, press allowances onto insert and overlock.
8. Stitch side seams, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
9. Overlock lower allowance of back neckline facing. Fold back neckline facing with main piece right sides together and stitch upper edge exactly to the marked shoulder seam line. Clip allowances.
10. Stitch shoulder seams, placing them between the back neckline facing and the main piece. Press allowances towards the back, overlock. Turn pieces to right side, press. Attach allowances of center seam of facing to zipper tape.
11. Stitch sleeve seam, press allowances towards the back and overlock. Stitch along sleeve cap with loosened thread and gather. Set sleeves into armhole, matching notches. Press allowances and overlock.
12. Overlock lower edge of dress and sleeve, press to wrong side and topstitch.
