Fabric & Materials

FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. ALSO NEEDED: fusible interfacing, concealed zipper.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all allowances – 1 cm. Hem allowance – 2.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical parts). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! ATTENTION! INSCRIPTIONS ON THE PATTERNS ARE MADE ON THE FACE SIDE!

  • From main fabric:
    • Upper back part - 2 pieces
    • Lower back part - 2 pieces
    • Upper front part - 1 piece
    • Lower front part - 2 pieces
    • Front insert - 1 piece
    • Sleeve – 2 pieces
    • Cuff – 2 pieces
    • Front neckline facing – 1 piece
    • Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Front neckline facing – 1 piece
    • Back neckline facing – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
  2. On the back pieces, stitch the waist darts, press the dart allowances towards the center. Attach the lower back part to the upper back part, press the allowances upwards and serge.
  3. Serge the center back edges separately. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark downwards, press the allowances open. Insert the zipper.
  4. On the upper front pieces, stitch the bust darts, press the dart allowances upwards. Attach the lower front part to the upper front part, press the allowances upwards and serge.
  5. Stitch the front princess seams, press the allowances towards the center and serge. On the front insert, create the first pleat along the marked lines with the wrong side inwards, edge outwards. Stitch the pleat from the right side from the neckline to the waistline. Process the remaining pleats similarly. Press the pleats towards the right side seam.
  6. Stitch the shoulder and side seams. Press the allowances towards the back and serge.
  7. Stitch the shoulder seams of the facings, press the allowances open. Serge the outer edge. Place the facings right sides together with the garment and stitch the neckline edge. Clip the allowances at the curves, turn the facings to the wrong side and press. Secure the facings to the shoulder seams and the zipper tape.
  8. Stitch the sleeve seam, press the allowances and serge. Set the sleeves into the armholes, matching the notches. Press the allowances and serge.
  9. Stitch the cuff into a loop, press the allowances open. Fold the cuff lengthwise in half with the right side out and press. Attach the outer side of the cuff to the lower edge of the sleeve, press the allowances upwards. Press the allowance of the inner cuff edge to the wrong side and topstitch into the attachment seam.
  10. Serge the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
