Key Design Features
Silhouette: a tailored, fitted blouse silhouette with flattering princess seams at the front and back, finished at the hem with a buttoned lower band.
Neckline: a sophisticated V-neckline at the front, edged with a placket and framed by a lace yoke band. The back features a rounded neckline with a matching lace yoke band.
Closure: a functional center front button placket that continues around the neckline, secured with six buttons (including one on the lower band).
Sleeves: Sleeveless; the armholes are finished with bias binding, while the two-tier flounce falls over the shoulders like a cap, adding volume and movement.
Details: Decorative patterned lace forms the distinctive front and back yokes, complemented by two layered gathered flounces with rolled-hem edges, set into the seam below the lace.
Level Of Difficulty
Intermediate. This pattern requires skills in working with delicate fabrics like lace, gathering flounces, binding armholes, constructing a clean button placket, and assembling princess seams.
Fabric Recommendations
Choose lightweight blouse fabrics with good drape, along with a coordinating lace for the yoke:
