Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Stitch darts on the back panel, press depths towards the center.
  2. Form and secure pleats on the front skirt panel.
  3. Finish the left side edges separately. Stitch the left side seam from the zipper mark to the bottom, press seam allowances open, pressing the opening for the zipper. Insert the zipper. Stitch the right side seam, press seam allowances towards the back and finish.
  4. Fold the waistband right sides together with the upper edge of the skirt and stitch, leaving the seam allowance for the fastener extending on the right back edge of the waistband. Finish the ends of the waistband. Turn under the inner edges of the waistband and topstitch from the right side into the attachment seam. Make a buttonhole on the left end of the waistband, sew a button on the right.
  5. Finish the hem allowance, press to the wrong side and hem with blind stitches.
