Fabric recommendations: suiting fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. ALSO NEEDED: fusible interfacing; raglan shoulder pads; 2 hooks and eyes.
CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES; IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for sleeve bottom - 3 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical details). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- From main fabric:
- Back – 1 piece on fold
- Front – 2 pieces
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
- Collar – 2 pieces
- Back neckline facing – 1 piece
- Front facing – 2 pieces
- Back hem facing – 1 piece
- FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING:
- Front facing – 2 pieces
- Back neckline facing – 1 piece
- Upper collar – 1 piece
- Back hem facing – 2 pieces
Also, the sleeve hem allowance is interfaced.
Sewing Instructions
- Interface the pieces with fusible interfacing.
- Stitch the dart on the sleeve, trim the depth to 1 cm, press open.
- Attach the back part of the sleeve to the back, press allowances open. Attach the front part of the sleeve to the front, press allowances open. Stitch the lower edges of the sleeves and side edges in one continuous seam, press allowances open.
- Stitch the shoulder edges of the back neckline facing and front facing, press allowances open. Attach the back hem facing to the front facings, press allowances open.
- Set in the upper collar to the back and front neckline, the lower collar – to the facing and front facing neckline. Press seams open.
- Fold the front facings with the front right sides together and stitch the edge of the front, collar, and lower edge. Trim allowances at corners, turn right side out and shape. Press the collar and fronts. Stitch a securing line along the collar attachment seam to the neckline. Sew the back hem facing to the back with blind stitches.
- Sew on the shoulder pads.
- Sew hooks and eyes to the outer and inner fronts.
