Fabric recommendations: dress fabrics made of natural or blended fibers with elastane. ALSO NEEDED: knitted bias tape (approximate length indicated on the front pattern piece), concealed zipper.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: top edge of the dress, bottom edge of the sleeve, top edge of the trim and sleeve – 0.5 cm; bottom edge of the cuff and trim – 0 cm; all other seam allowances – 1 cm, hem allowance for the bottom of the dress – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Center back – 2 pieces
    • Side back – 2 pieces
    • Side front – 2 pieces
    • Center front – 1 piece
    • Sleeve – 2 pieces
    • Cuff – 2 pieces
    • Trim – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Overlock the center back seam allowances separately. Stitch the seam from the zipper mark downwards. Press seam allowances open. Stitch the back princess seams. Overlock seam allowances and press towards the center.
  2. Stitch the front princess seams. Overlock seam allowances and press towards the center.
  3. Stitch the side seams. Overlock seam allowances and press towards the back.
  4. Stitch the sleeve seam. Overlock seam allowance. Stitch the cuff into a loop. Overlock seam allowance. Fold the sleeve with the cuff wrong sides together and stitch. Bind the seam with bias tape. Press the bound seam allowance towards the sleeve and topstitch 0.1 cm from the fold of the bias tape. Bind the bottom edge of the cuff with bias tape. Set the sleeve into the lower part of the armhole. Overlock seam allowance.
  5. Bind the bottom and center edges of the trim. Place the trim on the dress neckline, wrong side to right side, and secure along the top edge. Bind the seam allowances with bias tape.
  6. Overlock the bottom edge of the dress, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  7. Fold the bow in half lengthwise, wrong sides together. Bind the bow along the contour with bias tape. Tie a bow and sew it onto the dress according to the technical drawing sketch.
