Fabric & Materials

FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: double-sided suiting fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. ALSO NEEDED: fusible interfacing; concealed zipper.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom edge - 1.2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! ALL MARKINGS ON THE PATTERNS ARE ON THE RIGHT SIDE!

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the facings.
  2. Stitch darts on the back panel, press seam allowances towards the center. Overlock the center edges of the back panel separately on each piece. Stitch the center back seam from the mark to the bottom edge. Press seam allowances open, pressing the slit for the zipper. Insert the zipper.
  3. Stitch the front panel pieces (if required by size), press seam allowances open and overlock. Clip the seam allowance of the front panel's bottom edge at the marks. Overlock the bottom edge of the front panel's overlap between the marks, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Form the overlap, aligning the marking lines.
  4. Fold the bridge piece in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the long edge. Turn the piece right side out, straighten, and press. Overlock the short edge that goes into the overlap. Insert the bridge into the overlap and topstitch. Secure the free edge of the bridge to the left side edge of the front panel.
  5. Stitch the side edges, press seam allowances towards the back and overlock.
  6. Stitch and press open the side edges of the facings, press seam allowances open. Overlock the bottom edge. Place the facing on the skirt, right sides together, and stitch the top edge. Topstitch the seam allowances to the facing at a distance of 0.2 cm from the stitching line. Fold the facings to the wrong side, press. Fold under the center edges and sew to the zipper tape. Attach the facing to the side seam allowances.
  7. Overlock the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
