Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to the waistband and flaps.
- Attach the yoke to the back skirt half. Overlock the seam allowances and press them upwards.
- Overlock the seam allowance of the center back seam of the back skirt half, simultaneously overlocking the vent. Stitch the center seam from the zipper mark to the edge of the vent. Press open the seam allowances, pressing the opening for the zipper. Press the vent allowances towards the left side seam. Press the right side of the vent 1 cm and topstitch. Secure the vent allowances with machine stitching. Insert the zipper.
- Place the flaps right sides together and stitch along three sides. Trim the corners, turn the flaps right side out, and press. Secure the flap and the skirt trim along the upper edge. Place the trim on the front yoke, right side down, and stitch along the marked line. Turn the trim downwards and press.
- Attach the yoke to the side skirt half. Overlock the seam allowance and press it downwards.
- Stitch the center and side skirt halves together. Overlock the seam allowances and press them towards the center.
- Stitch the side seams. Press the seam allowances towards the back and overlock.
- Attach the waistband to the upper edge of the skirt. Stitch the ends of the waistband, trim the seam allowances at the corners, and turn right side out. Fold under the inner edge of the waistband and topstitch in the ditch of the attaching seam. Press the waistband in its finished state.
- Overlock the lower edge of the skirt, press to the wrong side, and hem with blind stitches.
- Mark and make a buttonhole on the waistband. Sew on the button. Sew buttons onto the flaps.
