- 4. Right front FLOUNCE – 1 QTY
- 5. Left front FLOUNCE – 1 QTY
- 6. Back FLOUNCE – 2 QTY
- 7. Waistband – 1 QTY
- FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING:
- 1. Waistband – 1 QTY
- FROM LINING FABRIC:
- 1. Front skirt LINING – 1 QTY on fold
- 2. Back skirt LINING – 2 QTY
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to the waistband.
- Stitch darts on the front and back panels. Press dart bulk towards the center.
- Stitch side seams. Finish SEAM ALLOWANCES and press towards the back.
- Stitch FLOUNCE side seams. Finish SEAM ALLOWANCES and press towards the back. Finish the lower edges of the FLOUNCE with decorative TRIM STRIP. Place the FLOUNCE on the skirt, aligning the upper edge and the front princess seam.
- Stitch the front princess seam. Finish SEAM ALLOWANCES and press open.
- Stitch darts on the LINING. Press dart bulk towards the center. Stitch the center back seam of the LINING from the ZIPPER NOTCHES to the hem. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES open. Stitch and finish side seams. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the back. Finish the lower SEAM ALLOWANCE of the LINING, fold inwards, and topstitch.
- Baste the upper edge of the skirt, FLOUNCE, and skirt LINING together.
- Finish the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the center back seam of the BACK PANEL and the FLOUNCE seam, simultaneously finishing the vent. Stitch the center back seam from the ZIPPER mark to the edge of the vent. Press the seam SEAM ALLOWANCES open, pressing the ZIPPER opening flat, and press the vent SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the left side seam. Press the right side of the vent 1 cm and topstitch. Secure the vent SEAM ALLOWANCES with machine stitching. Insert the ZIPPER.
- Attach the waistband to the upper edge of the skirt. Finish the ends of the waistband, trim SEAM ALLOWANCES at the corners, and turn right side out. Fold the inner edge of the waistband and topstitch in the ditch of the attachment seam. Press the waistband when finished.
- Finish the lower edge of the skirt, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
- Mark and finish the buttonhole on the waistband. Sew buttons to the waistband and vent according to the marks.
