  • From FUSIBLE INTERFACING:
    1. COLLAR — QTY 1

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse the COLLAR piece with FUSIBLE INTERFACING. Also fuse the underarm areas on the upper BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL pieces from both main and LINING fabric.
  2. Stitch the waist darts on the upper and lower BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL pieces. On the upper pieces, trim the dart depth to 1 cm and serge. Press the darts towards the center of the pieces.
  3. Stitch the upper and lower BACK PANEL pieces together, press SEAM ALLOWANCES upwards and serge. On both BACK PANEL pieces, fuse the vent from the wrong side. Serge the center edges separately on each piece. On the right side, mark the center seam line (vent fold line). Stitch the center back edge from the neckline edge to the first mark and from the second mark to the vent corner. Clip the vent SEAM ALLOWANCE corner. Press the center seam SEAM ALLOWANCES open, press the vent to the left side. Press the right side of the vent 1 cm to the wrong side and topstitch. Topstitch the vent SEAM ALLOWANCES to the main piece with machine stitching. Insert the ZIPPER.
  4. Stitch the upper and lower FRONT PANEL pieces together, press SEAM ALLOWANCES upwards and serge.
  5. Clip the upper BACK PANEL piece between the marked lines for attaching the lower SLEEVE. Attach the lower SLEEVE to the back SLEEVE. Clip the upper FRONT PANEL piece between the marked lines for attaching the lower SLEEVE. Attach the lower SLEEVE to the front SLEEVE. Stitch the side edges, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the back and serge.
  6. Stitch the upper SLEEVE edge, press SEAM ALLOWANCES open.
  7. Fold the COLLAR pieces right sides together and stitch along the outer contour. Clip the SEAM ALLOWANCES at the curves. Turn the COLLAR right side out, smooth, and press. Attach the COLLAR to the neckline, matching NOTCHES.
  8. Stitch the LINING pieces similarly to the main garment pieces. Serge the bottom edge and center edges. Fold the LINING with the main garment right sides together and stitch the neckline (the COLLAR is positioned between the LINING and the main fabric). Turn the LINING to the wrong side. Stitch the lower SLEEVE edge with the LINING. Sew the LINING to the ZIPPER tape and to the waist edge SEAM ALLOWANCE.
  9. Serge the hem SEAM ALLOWANCE of the dress, press to the wrong side and hem with blind stitches.
