  • 2. Back side - 2 pieces

  • 6. Upper sleeve — 2 pieces
  • 7. Lower sleeve — 2 pieces
  • 8. Placket — 2 pieces
  • From fusible interfacing:
  • 1. Placket – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse the placket pieces with fusible interfacing.
  2. Place collar pieces right sides together and stitch the center seam. Finish the seam allowance with bias binding and press to the left side. Finish the outer contour with bias binding.
  3. Stitch the darts on the back. Press the dart depths towards the center back.
  4. Stitch the princess seams on the front and back. Overlock the seam allowances and press towards the center. Stitch the center seam of the back. Overlock the seam allowance and press to the left side.
  5. Stitch the side and shoulder seams. Overlock the seam allowances and press towards the back.
  6. Finish the lower sleeve edges with bias binding. Stitch the lower sleeve seam. Overlock the seam allowance and press towards the back. Place the upper sleeve onto the lower sleeve and align along the upper edge. Then treat as one piece.
  7. Set the sleeve into the armhole. Overlock the seam allowances.
  8. Place the collar onto the blouse neckline and stitch. Clip the seam allowance and press towards the blouse. Place bias binding over the seam allowance and topstitch, enclosing the seam allowance. Align the lower of the collar with the front edge and secure along the edge.
  9. Fold the placket and front right sides together and stitch. Turn the placket to the wrong side, stitch the corners, fold the seam allowance of the inner placket inwards and topstitch into the attaching seam.
  10. Double-fold the hem of the garment to the wrong side by 1 cm and topstitch.
  11. Make buttonholes and sew on buttons.
