Sewing Instructions
- Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to the upper COLLARS.
- Attach the upper COLLAR to the BACK PANEL. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the COLLAR. Stitch the center seam of the BACK PANEL. Overlock SEAM ALLOWANCES and press to the left side. Stitch the relief seams of the BACK PANEL. Overlock SEAM ALLOWANCES and press towards the center.
- Attach the upper FRONT COLLAR to the FRONT YOKE. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the COLLAR. Attach the FRONT YOKE to the FRONT PANEL. Overlock SEAM ALLOWANCES and press upwards. Stitch the relief seams of the FRONT PANEL. Overlock SEAM ALLOWANCES and press towards the center.
- Stitch the shoulder seams, simultaneously with the stand seam. Overlock SEAM ALLOWANCES in the shoulder seam area. Clip and press open SEAM ALLOWANCES in the COLLAR area.
- Cut a BIAS BINDING 4 cm wide and a length equal to the armhole length + 5 cm (if not pre-made). Fold the BIAS BINDING in half lengthwise, right sides out, and press. Place the TRIM STRIP along the armhole edge on the right side and stitch. Clip SEAM ALLOWANCES. Fold the TRIM STRIP to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
- Stitch the right side seams, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL and overlock. Overlock the left side seams separately on each piece, stitch from the mark to the bottom, and press open. Insert the ZIPPER.
- Stitch the shoulder and center seams of the inner COLLARS. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES open. Overlock the bottom edge. Place the inner COLLARS on the neckline and stitch along the upper edge and the front section of the FRONT PANEL. Clip SEAM ALLOWANCES and turn to the wrong side. Press the upper edge. Topstitch the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the inner COLLARS into the seam of the upper COLLARS.
- Fold the bow piece right sides together and stitch along three sides, leaving an opening for turning. Trim SEAM ALLOWANCES at the corners, turn the bow right side out, and press. Hand-stitch the opening closed. Cut a loop 6 x 6 cm. Stitch along one side and turn. Insert the bow into the loop and sew to the dress, according to the technical sketch.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the dress, press to the wrong side, and hem with blind stitches.
