Tech. Description

Two-Tone Panel A-Line Dress

Introducing a sophisticated women's sewing pattern for a panelled a-line dress, featuring a striking two-tone construction with a decorative buckle at the waist and a graceful flared skirt.

When To Wear

This elegant dress is designed for special occasions and stylish gatherings, making it a perfect choice for:

  • Semi-Formal Events: Ideal for parties, dinners, or cocktail events where a refined yet comfortable look is desired.
  • Evening Occasions: Suitable for theater outings or special date nights, offering a unique and flattering silhouette.
  • Work & Professional Settings: Appropriate for business-casual environments or professional events where a polished, distinctive style is valued.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: Fitted through the bodice and waist, gently flaring into an a-line skirt from the hips.

Neckline: Classic round neckline, finished with a facing.

Sleeves: Short, set-in sleeves.

Front: a prominent center front panel in the second (contrasting) fabric, extending from the neckline to the hem; at the waist it is crossed by a narrow tube-like inset strip, caught into the princess seams and threaded through a decorative buckle.

Back: a center back seam and princess seams, enhancing the dress's tailored fit.

Waist: a defined waistline, visually accentuated by the decorative buckle on the central front panel.

Closure: Concealed invisible zipper at the center back for a smooth finish.

Length: a long length, falling to the ankle.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Requires skills in working with two different fabrics, inserting an invisible zipper, constructing princess seams, and attaching a neckline facing.
