Fitted Collared Dress with Flounces and Sleeves

Sewing Instructions

1. Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to the respective pieces.
2. Stitch darts on the upper and lower BACK PANELS and press towards the center. Stitch the upper and lower BACK PANELS together. Overlock the SEAM ALLOWANCE and press downwards. Overlock the center edges of the BACK PANEL separately. Stitch the center seam of the BACK PANEL from the ZIPPER mark to the lower edge, press SEAM ALLOWANCES open. Insert the ZIPPER.
3. Stitch darts on the upper FRONT PANEL. Press the dart depths towards the center.
4. Stitch the princess seams of the FRONT PANEL. Overlock the SEAM ALLOWANCES and press towards the center.
5. Attach the FLOUNCES to the FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL respectively. Overlock the SEAM ALLOWANCES and press upwards.
6. Stitch the side and shoulder seams. Overlock the SEAM ALLOWANCES and press towards the BACK PANEL.
7. Place COLLARS right sides together and stitch along the outer contour. Trim SEAM ALLOWANCES, turn the COLLAR right side out and press. Clip the neckline SEAM ALLOWANCE at the mark. Attach the outer COLLAR to the neckline. Fold the SEAM ALLOWANCE of the inner COLLAR inwards and topstitch into the seam of the outer COLLAR attachment.
8. Overlock the lower edge of the SLEEVE, fold inwards and topstitch. Along the SLEEVE cap, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Set the SLEEVE into the armhole. Overlock the SEAM ALLOWANCE. Cut (if not ready-made) a BIAS BINDING 4 cm wide and a length equal to the length of the lower armhole + 5cm. Fold the BIAS BINDING in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the BINDING with the armhole edge on the right side and stitch. Clip the SEAM ALLOWANCES. Fold the BINDING to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
9. Overlock the lower edge of the FLOUNCE, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Sew on decorative buttons.
