Sewing Instructions
- Fuse fusible interfacing to the respective pieces.
- Stitch darts on back pieces, press seam allowances towards the center. Stitch lower and upper back pieces. Overlock seam allowance and press downwards. Overlock center edges of back separately on each piece. Stitch the center edge of the back from the zipper mark to the bottom, press seam allowances open. Insert the zipper.
- Stitch darts on front pieces, press seam allowances towards the center. Stitch lower and upper front pieces. Overlock seam allowance and press downwards.
- Stitch shoulder edges. Press seam allowances towards the back and overlock.
- Stitch shoulder edges of facings. Press seam allowances open. Overlock the outer edge of the facing. Place the facing onto the neckline and stitch. Clip seam allowances, turn the facing to the wrong side and press.
- Cut (if not pre-made) bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the armhole length + 5 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the trim strip with the armhole edge on the right side and stitch. Clip notches. Fold the trim strip to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
- Stitch side edges. Press seam allowances towards the back and overlock.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the garment. Press the hem allowance to the wrong side and topstitch.
