  • From fusible interfacing:
    1. Trim strip — qty 2

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse the trim strip with fusible interfacing.
  2. Stitch the princess seams on the upper and lower back PANELs. Finish seam allowances and press towards the center. Stitch the center seam on the upper and lower back PANELs. Finish the seam and press to the left side.
  3. Fold the trim strip in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the upper edge. Trim the seam allowance at the corner, turn right side out, and press.
  4. Finish the lower edge of the front neckline facing. Place the facing on the center and stitch. Trim seam allowances and turn the facing to the wrong side. Press the seam. Place the trim strip on the side front and stitch.
  5. Stitch the princess seams on the front pieces. Finish the seam allowances of the lower and press towards the center. On the upper front, finish the seam allowance, stopping 3-4 cm from the upper edge.
  6. Stitch the shoulder seams, press seam allowances open.
  7. Finish the front edges of the FLOUNCEs. Finish the lower seam allowances of the FLOUNCEs, fold inwards, and topstitch. Place the left front flounce on the right side of the front and stitch according to the notch. Turn the flounce towards the side seam and attach it to the upper and side edges of the lower front.
  8. Stitch the right side seams on the upper and lower parts, press seam allowances towards the back and finish. Place the back flounce on the right side of the front (right) and stitch according to the notch. Turn the flounce towards the side seam and attach it to the upper edge of the front and back. (The back flounce extends to the left side seam)
  9. Finish the left side seam separately, catching the flounce edges, and stitch from the notch to the bottom. Insert the zipper.
  10. Stitch the center seam of the back facing. Press the seam allowance open. Stitch the shoulder and right side seams of the FACINGs. Press seam allowances open. Finish the right side seams and the lower edge of the FACINGs. Place the facing on the dress and stitch the neckline. Clip seam allowances, turn the facing to the wrong side, and press. Stitch the armholes in 2 steps: first the front armhole, then the back armhole. Clip seam allowances and press. Sew the facing sections to the zipper tape.
  11. Finish the hem allowance of the dress, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
