Sewing Instructions
- Stitch darts on BACK PANEL pieces, press depths towards the center. Stitch upper and lower BACK PANELs. Overlock SEAM ALLOWANCES and press upwards. Stitch the center back seam. Overlock SEAM ALLOWANCE and press to the left side.
- Stitch the dart on the left upper FRONT PANEL. Trim and overlock the depth. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCE towards the center. Attach the lower FRONT PANELs to the central one. Overlock SEAM ALLOWANCES and press towards the center.
- Stitch shoulder seams. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES open.
- Stitch the center seam of the upper and lower COLLARs, aligning NOTCHES. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES open. Fold COLLARs right sides together and stitch along the edge marked with a zigzag. Turn the COLLAR right side out and press. Between the “X”-shaped NOTCHES, stitch with a loosely tensioned upper thread and gather. Place the right COLLAR on the right FRONT PANEL, place the lower edge of the left COLLAR and stitch from the left relief to the NOTCH. Clip SEAM ALLOWANCES at the NOTCH level. Overlock the COLLAR attachment SEAM ALLOWANCE. Attach the upper COLLAR to the back neckline and FRONT PANEL sections; on the left side, attachment is done up to the “T”-shaped NOTCH. Clip SEAM ALLOWANCES at the NOTCH level. Fold the lower COLLAR SEAM ALLOWANCE inwards and topstitch into the seam. Attach the left upper FRONT PANEL to the COLLAR and the right part. Overlock SEAM ALLOWANCE.
- Cut a BIAS BINDING 4 cm wide and a length equal to the armhole length + 6 cm. Fold the BIAS BINDING in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the BIAS BINDING with the armhole edge on the right side, leaving tails, and stitch. Fold the BIAS BINDING to the wrong side, clip the seams, and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
- Attach the lower FRONT PANEL to the upper one. Overlock SEAM ALLOWANCE and press downwards.
- Overlock the left side seams separately, stitch them from the NOTCH downwards, press SEAM ALLOWANCES open. Insert the ZIPPER. Stitch the right side seam, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL and overlock.
- Overlock the hem SEAM ALLOWANCE of the dress, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
- Fold the belt in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch along the long and short sides, leaving an opening for turning. Turn the belt right side out, press. Sew up the opening.
