CUTTER'S MUST
- From main fabric:
- Back – 1 piece on fold
- Front – 2 pieces
- Front facing – 2 pieces
- Collar – 1 piece
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
- Belt – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
- Stitch darts on front pieces. Trim seam allowances with an overlocker to 0.7 cm.
- Overlock the upper edge of the pocket, press to the wrong side, and topstitch. Overlock the side and bottom edges of the pocket, press to the wrong side. Place the pocket on the front piece and topstitch.
- Attach the collar to the front pieces, press seam allowances open.
- Stitch shoulder seams of back and front, clipping seam allowances at corners, press towards the back and overlock. Attach the collar to the neckline, press seam allowances towards the collar.
- Stitch the facing seam, press seam allowances open. Overlock the outer edge. Overlock the center front edge, press to the wrong side, and topstitch. Place the facing with the garment right sides together and stitch the collar edge. Clip seam allowances at curves, turn the facing to the wrong side. Topstitch the facing to the front piece along the marked line and into the seam of the lower collar attachment.
- Set sleeves into open armholes according to notches, press seam allowances and overlock. Stitch side seams simultaneously with sleeve seams, press seam allowances towards the back and overlock.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the garment and sleeves, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
- Fold the belt piece in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch along the long side and one short side. Turn the belt right side out, tuck the seam allowances of the unstitched section inwards, and topstitch 0.7 cm from the edge around the perimeter of the belt.
