This sophisticated dress is designed for versatility, making it an ideal choice for:
Silhouette: a sleek, fitted sheath silhouette that gently skims the body.
Neckline: a refined mock neck providing a clean and elegant finish.
Sleeves: a sleeveless design, offering comfort and freedom of movement.
Front Detail: a distinctive two-tone construction on the front, featuring a gracefully curved seam line that separates the two fabric panels, with soft folds on the upper right side and gentle gathering towards the lower right hem.
Back: a clean and unadorned back, featuring a central back seam.
Length: Designed to fall above the knee for a modern and flattering appearance.
Intermediate. Requires confident sewing skills, including working with knit fabrics, precise two-tone panel construction, creating controlled folds and gathering, and neat application of neckline facings.
Choose well-draping knit fabrics with medium stretch, made from natural or blended fibers, in two complementary colors.
No additional notions are required.
If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: hem allowance and armhole allowances – 1.5 cm, other seams 0.8 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match! Markings on the patterns are on the right side!
Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.
