A chic sleeveless dress pattern featuring elegant front draping and a distinctive asymmetric shoulder cutout for a contemporary silhouette.
This dress is ideal for a variety of occasions, offering both style and comfort for:
Silhouette: a sleek, body-skimming sheath silhouette that flatters the figure.
Neckline: Features a classic round neckline complemented by a striking, asymmetric shoulder cutout detail.
Sleeves: Sleeveless design, providing a clean and contemporary armline.
Front Detail: Elegant draping across the front bodice, creating subtle texture and visual interest.
Back: a clean and unadorned back panel, ensuring a smooth profile.
Closure: Pull-on style, facilitated by the stretch fabric, for ease of wear.
Length: a versatile knee-length hem, suitable for various occasions.
Intermediate. Involves working with stretch fabrics, managing drapes and folds, and precise finishing of cutouts and edges.
For optimal drape and comfort, choose knit fabrics with a medium amount of stretch:
If the patterns have a double contour, they include seam allowances. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: Hem allowance – 2 cm; neckline allowance for back and front, armhole allowances for back and front, allowances for front slit edges and upper front - 1.5 cm; other seams 0.7 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match! Inscriptions on the patterns are on the right side!
Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.
