Sewing Instructions
WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic stitch or directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.
- Stitch the side and lower (inseam) edges of the pants. Press the seams. Along the lower edge (leg opening), make a stitch with loosely tensioned stitches and gather. Along the upper edge of the pants, lay pleats according to the markings, with depths directed towards the center of the piece.
- Fold the cuffs in half right sides together and stitch into a ring. Turn the cuffs right side out, fold lengthwise in half right side out and press. Attach the cuffs to the lower edge. After attaching the cuffs, release the gathering.
- On the inner waistband, mark and overcast 4 buttonholes for inserting elastic. Fold the waistbands right sides together and stitch into a ring. Turn the pieces right side out and press. Place the waistbands right sides together, insert the upper edge of the pants between them and stitch. Turn the pieces out and press. Stitch along the marked lines on a straight stitch machine. Make a stitch with loosely tensioned stitches along the upper edge of the waistband, simultaneously securing the outer and inner waistbands. Gather.
- On the upper front part, stitch the darts. Trim the depths with an overlock. On the lower front part, lay pleats according to the markings, with pleat depths directed towards the center of the piece. Stitch the upper and lower front parts. Press the seam. Stitch the side edges. Press the seams.
- Attach the upper part of the jumpsuit to the lower part. Overcast the upper edge of the jumpsuit, fold and topstitch. Along the marked lines, make a stitch with elastic thread. The elastic thread is on the wrong side. Insert elastic into the waistband.
- Cut a bridge piece 8*4 cm and a tie 100*4 cm. Fold the bridge piece lengthwise in half right sides together and stitch the longitudinal edge. Turn the bridge piece right side out, positioning the seam in the middle of the piece, press, then press in half crosswise. Attach the bridge piece to the front. Stitch the tie. Thread the tie through the bridge piece and tie at the back.
