Fabric recommendations: soft knit fabric with medium stretch from natural or blended fibers.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS ARE WITHOUT SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams - 1.0 cm; hem allowance for the garment bottom and sleeve - 2 cm. Allowance along the side slits of the back and front - 2.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

• From main fabric:
  • Back – 1 piece on fold
  • Front – 1 piece on fold
  • Sleeve – 2 pieces
  • Collar – 1 piece

Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim allowances to 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.

Sewing Instructions

1. Stitch shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and serge.
2. Serge side seams separately. Stitch side seams from armhole to mark, press allowances open, pressing the slits. Stitch a decorative-securing stitch along the edge of the slit 0.5 cm from the edge.
3. Stitch the collar into a loop, fold it in half lengthwise and attach it to the neckline, stretching it slightly. The seam is located at the left shoulder seam. Serge allowances and press towards the main piece.
4. Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowances towards the back and serge. Set sleeves into armholes, matching notches, press allowances and serge.
5. Serge the hem allowance of the bottom and sleeve hem, fold to the wrong side and topstitch.
6. Cut 4 bias strips for ties, 4.0 cm wide and a length equal to double the waist length. Press the strip in half lengthwise, right side out, then unfold and press the long sides inwards, aligning them at the center line. Press the tie in half lengthwise again and stitch a securing stitch along the edge.
7. Place one of the short sides of the tie under the slit at the waist mark on the back side and on the front side, topstitch. Turn under and topstitch the free ends, or finish with end caps.
