Fabric recommendations: suiting fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. Also needed: fusible interfacing; concealed zipper; 3 buttons.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm; hem allowance – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! Note! Markings on the patterns are made on the right side.

  • From main fabric:
    • Back - 2 pieces
    • Right front part - 1 piece
    • Left front part – 1 piece
    • Back facing – 2 pieces
    • Front facing – 1 piece
    • Front facing extension – 1 piece
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Back facing – 2 pieces
    • Front facing – 1 piece
    • Front facing extension – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
  2. Stitch darts on back and front pieces, press waist dart depths towards the center, bust darts upwards.
  3. Serge the center back edges separately on each piece. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark to the bottom edge, press seam allowances open. Insert the zipper.
  4. Serge the outer edge of the front facing extension. Place the right front piece and the front facing extension right sides together and stitch the neckline, the zipper extension, and the longitudinal edge up to the side seam. Clip seam allowances at the neckline mark and on curves, trim at corners. Turn the piece right side out, straighten, and press.
  5. Serge the inner edge of the left front piece. Lay the right front piece over the left and stitch along the inner edge and the lower edge of the pocket. Press seam allowances, serge the lower edges.
  6. Stitch shoulder and side seams. Press shoulder seam allowances open, press side seam allowances towards the back and serge.
  7. Stitch shoulder and side seams of the neckline facings, press seam allowances open. Serge the outer edge. Place the facings with the garment right sides together and stitch the neckline edge, folding back the loose part. Stitch the armhole in two steps: first the back armhole, then the front armhole. Clip seam allowances, turn the facing to the wrong side, straighten, and press. Secure to the main garment at the side seams and zipper tape.
  8. Serge the hem allowance, press to the wrong side and hem with blind stitches.
  9. Sew on buttons according to markings.
