Cutter's Must

If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, seam allowances are not included. Seam allowances: all seams 1 cm; hem allowance for the garment bottom and sleeve bottom – 2.0 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) to determine how much material you will need (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back - 1 piece on fold
    • Front - 2 pieces
    • Sleeve - 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fold and secure pleats on the front, with depths directed towards the center.
  2. Stitch shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
  3. Cut (if not ready-made) a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the neckline length + 5cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding along the neckline edge, right sides together, and stitch. Clip allowances. Fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
  4. Stitch the center front seam, press allowances to the left side and overlock.
  5. Stitch side seams, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
  6. Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowances and overlock. Along the sleeve cap, stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Overlock the lower sleeve edge, press to the wrong side and topstitch. (The sleeve hem can also be overlock with a narrow rolled hem. Before this, the allowance of the lower sleeve edge should be trimmed.) Stitch lines using elastic thread according to markings.
  7. Set sleeves into armholes, press allowances and overlock.
  8. Overlock the garment hem allowance, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  9. Sew buttons onto the center front seam according to markings.
