Fabric recommendations: dress fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: decorative trim (approximate length indicated on the lower front pattern piece); fusible interfacing; invisible zipper; 6 buttons.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm; hem allowance for dress bottom and sleeve bottom – 3 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).

  • Upper side back part - 2 pieces
  • Lower back part - 2 pieces
  • Upper center front part - 1 piece on fold

  • Collar — 4 pieces
  • Sleeve – 2 pieces
  • Placket – 1 piece
• From fusible interfacing:
  • Flap – 2 pieces
  • Collar — 2 pieces
  • Placket – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

1. Interface the pieces with fusible interfacing.
2. Stitch the princess seams of the upper back, press allowances towards the center, serge. Stitch the upper and lower back parts, press allowances upwards and serge.
3. Serge the center back edges separately on each piece. Stitch the center back seam from the mark to the lower edge, press allowances open. Insert the invisible zipper.
4. Place the flap pieces in pairs right sides together, inserting decorative trim between the pieces, and stitch the outer edge. Clip allowances at curves, turn the flap right side out, straighten, press.
5. Stitch the princess seams of the upper front, press allowances towards the center, serge. Stitch the upper and lower front parts, inserting the flaps according to markings, press allowances upwards and serge.
6. Press the longitudinal allowances of the placket to the wrong side. Place the placket on the front wrong side to right side, insert decorative trim under the edges and topstitch.
7. Stitch the side and shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and serge.
8. Place the collar pieces in pairs right sides together and stitch the outer edge, inserting decorative trim. Start and end stitching strictly at the marked collar attachment line. Clip allowances at curves, turn the collar right side out, press. Stitch the upper collar to the neckline, press allowances towards the collar. Fold the allowance of the lower collar inwards and topstitch into the attachment seam.
9. Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowances towards the back and serge. Set the sleeves into the armholes, press allowances and serge.
10. Serge the hem allowance of the dress and sleeve, press to the wrong side and hem with blind stitches.
