Fabric & Materials

Fabric recommendations: blouse or dress fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. YOU ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing. IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEN THE PATTERNS INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES; IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THEN THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm; hem allowance – 2.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

CUTTER'S MUST

• From main fabric:
  • Back yoke - 2 pieces
  • Back - 1 piece with fold
  • Front - 1 piece with fold
  • Front yoke - 2 pieces
  • Upper sleeve part - 2 pieces
  • Lower sleeve part - 2 pieces
• From fusible interfacing:
  • Back yoke – 1 piece
  • Front yoke – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
2. Stitch darts on the front piece, press seam allowances upwards.
3. Overlock the bottom edge of the inner front yoke. Fold the front yoke pieces right sides together and stitch along the marked neckline, continuing the stitch to the left shoulder seam mark. Clip the piece between the neckline lines and at the mark, turn right side out, straighten, and press.
4. Attach the outer yoke to the front, press seam allowances upwards. Topstitch the inner yoke into the seam of the outer yoke attachment.
5. Overlock the bottom edge of the inner back yoke. Fold the back yoke pieces right sides together and stitch the neckline edge (start and end the stitch precisely at the marked shoulder seam line). Stitch the shoulder seams, inserting the front between the back yoke pieces, press seam allowances and overlock. Turn yokes right side out, press.
6. Attach the outer yoke to the back, press seam allowances upwards. Topstitch the inner yoke into the seam of the outer yoke attachment.
7. Stitch side seams, press seam allowances towards the back and overlock.
8. Stitch the upper and lower sleeve parts, press seam allowances upwards and overlock. Stitch the sleeve seam, press seam allowances towards the back and overlock. Set sleeves into armholes, matching notches, overlock seam allowances.
9. Overlock the hem allowance of the garment and sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
