Pattern #2300
Tech. Description

Fabric & Materials

Fabric recommendations: blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers (silk, satin, sateen). YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing. IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS ARE WITHOUT SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: hem allowance for the garment and sleeve (armhole section from shoulder cut to mark) – 1.5 cm; other seams 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! ATTENTION! INSCRIPTIONS ON THE PATTERNS ARE ON THE FACE SIDE!

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to facing pieces.
  2. Stitch the left shoulder seam, press allowances towards the back and serge.
  3. Stitch the left shoulder seam of the neckline facings, press allowances open. Serge the outer edge. Place the facing with the garment right sides together and stitch the neckline edge (start or end the stitch exactly at the marked line of the right shoulder seam). Clip allowances at curves, turn the facing to the wrong side and press.
  4. Serge the allowance of the center edge of the left front. Clip the right front at the shoulder seam mark. Serge the allowance of the lapel and center edge, press to the wrong side and topstitch. (This section can be finished with bias binding or a narrow rolled hem. In this case, the allowance should be trimmed). Place the right front over the left and topstitch along the marked line (the marked line of the right front coincides with the center seam of the left front).
  5. Stitch the right shoulder seam, inserting the front between the back and the facing, press allowances towards the back and serge. Turn the facing to the wrong side, press.
  6. Clip the side edges at the armhole mark. Serge the sleeve edge, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Stitch the side seams, press allowances towards the back and serge. Place a bar tack at the armhole.
  7. Serge the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
