CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS ARE WITHOUT SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the garment bottom and sleeve bottom – 3.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back – 1 piece on fold
    • Front – 2 pieces
    • Sleeve – 2 pieces
    • Front facing – 2 pieces
    • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
    • Pocket bag – 4 pieces
    • Belt – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch darts on front pieces. Press depths downwards.
  2. Place pocket bag onto the right side of the front, stitch pocket opening around the perimeter. Cut pieces in the middle between the stitches, making diagonal cuts 1 cm short of the short sides. Turn pocket bag to the wrong side, straighten pocket opening. Place the second pocket bag on top of the first and stitch them together. Secure pocket bags to the wrong side of the front with blind stitches.
  3. Stitch the collar seam, folding fronts right sides together, press allowances open. Stitch and press open shoulder seams. Clip the shoulder seam allowance on the front and stitch the collar into the back neckline, press allowance open.
  4. Stitch the collar seam of the front facing, press allowances open. Stitch and press open shoulder seams of front facings and back neckline facing. Clip the shoulder seam allowance on the front facing and stitch the collar into the back facing neckline, press allowance open.
  5. Place the front facing onto the right side of the front, right side down, pin and stitch along the front edge, collar edge, and bottom corner. Clip allowances, turn front facing to the wrong side, straighten, press. Topstitch along the front edge and collar 0.5 – 0.7 cm from the edge.
  6. Set sleeves into armholes according to notches, press allowances.
  7. Stitch side seams simultaneously with sleeve seams, press allowances towards the back.
  8. Fold the belt piece in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch along the long side and one short side. Turn the belt to the right side, turn in allowances of the unstitched section, and topstitch 0.5 – 0.7 cm from the edge around the perimeter of the belt.
