Fabric & Materials

Fabric recommendations: dense knit fabric with low stretch from natural or blended fibers in contrasting or analogous colors. ALSO NEEDED: eyelets; decorative cord.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 1.5 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. ATTENTION! Markings on the patterns are on the right side!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back yoke – 1 piece
    • Front yoke – 1 piece
    • Upper sleeve part – 2 pieces
    • Collar stand – 1 piece
    • Front insert – 1 piece
  • From main fabric 1:
    • Back – 1 piece
    • Left front part – 1 piece
    • Right front part – 1 piece
    • Lower sleeve part – 2 pieces
    • Cuff – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim seam allowances to 0.6 – 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity.

  1. Stitch the back yoke to the back, press seam allowances upwards and serge.
  2. Stitch the front insert to the left and right front parts, press seam allowances towards the insert and serge. Stitch the front yoke to the front, press seam allowances upwards and serge.
  3. Stitch shoulder seams, press seam allowances towards the back, serge.
  4. Stitch the upper and lower sleeve parts, press seam allowances upwards and serge. Set sleeves into open armholes, press seam allowances towards the sleeve and serge.
  5. Stitch side seams simultaneously with sleeve seams, press seam allowances and serge.
  6. Stitch the cuff into a loop, press seam allowances open. Fold the cuff in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Attach the cuff to the bottom of the sleeve, stretching slightly. Press seam allowances and serge.
  7. Stitch the collar stand into a loop, press seam allowances open. Fold the collar stand in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Attach the collar stand to the neckline, stretching slightly. Press seam allowances and serge.
  8. Serge the bottom hem allowance, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  9. Punch eyelets according to markings. Thread decorative cord. Tip: ready-made ribbing can be used for finishing the neckline and sleeve hems.
