Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! TRY TO OBSERVE THE GRAIN LINE DIRECTION.

  1. Fuse interfacing to the facings.
  2. Stitch darts on the front and back. Trim dart allowances with an overlocker and press towards the center.
  3. Stitch the upper and lower back parts. Press the allowance upwards and overcast.
  4. Overcast the center front edges. Along the center front edge, stitch with a loosened upper thread from the mark to the top and gather according to the pattern's skill mark. Stitch the center front seam. Finish the stitch strictly at the marked facing attachment line. Press the allowance open.
  5. Stitch the upper and lower front parts. Overcast the allowance and press upwards.
  6. Stitch shoulder and side seams. Overcast allowances and press towards the back.
  7. Fold neckline facings in pairs, right sides together, and stitch the outer edge. Clip allowances on curves, turn the piece right side out, and press. Attach the outer facing to the neckline. Press the allowance towards the facing. Fold the allowance of the inner side to the wrong side and topstitch into the seam of the outer facing attachment.
  8. Overcast the center back edges separately. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark to the bottom. Insert the zipper.
  9. Overcast the lower edge of the sleeve, fold the allowance inwards and topstitch. Set sleeves into armholes, press allowances and overcast.
  10. Cut a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the length of the lower armhole part + 6 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding with the armhole edge on the right side, leaving tails, and stitch. Fold the binding to the wrong side, clip the seams, and topstitch along the fold onto the main piece. Press the seam.
  11. Overcast the hem allowance, press inwards and topstitch.
