Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Reinforce the neckline edge of the upper back and front parts with fusible interfacing strip.
  2. Stitch the darts on the upper front pieces, press the seam allowances upwards.
  3. Stitch the shoulder seams, press the seam allowances towards the back and overcast.
  4. Cut a bias binding strip 4 cm wide and a length equal to the neckline length of the back and front + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding strip in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding strip along the neckline edge, right side facing, extending the ends, and stitch. Fold the binding strip to the wrong side, clip the seams, and topstitch along the fold onto the main piece. Press the seam.
  5. Overcast the vertical edge of the right upper front part, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
  6. Along the upper edge of the lower back part, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Stitch the upper and lower back parts together, press the seam allowances upwards and overcast.
  7. Press the vertical edge of the lower front part to the wrong side twice by 1 cm and topstitch.
  8. Along the upper edge of the lower front part, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Stitch the upper and lower front parts together (the upper part of the left front is longer than the lower part by the seam allowance width on the overlap side), press the seam allowances upwards and overcast.
  9. Fold the waistband in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch along the long and diagonal sides. Turn the waistband right side out, straighten, and press.
  10. Stitch one part of the waistband to the left upper front part, press the seam allowances towards the front, overcast, and topstitch onto the main piece.
  11. Stitch the side seams, inserting the second part of the waistband into the right side seam, press the seam allowances towards the back and overcast.
  12. Stitch the sleeve seam, press the seam allowances and overcast. Along the sleeve cap, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Set the sleeve into the armhole, press the seam allowances and overcast.
  13. Overcast the lower edge of the sleeve. Press the allowance to the wrong side and topstitch, forming a casing. Thread elastic tape through the casing and secure the ends.
  14. Press the hem allowance of the garment bottom to the wrong side twice by 1 cm and topstitch.
  15. Overcast the inner buttonhole on the right front. Sew on the inner button.
