- From main fabric:
- Back – 2 pieces
- Front - 1 piece
- Back sleeve part – 2 pieces
- Front sleeve part – 2 pieces
- Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
- Front neckline facing - 1 piece
- From fusible interfacing:
- Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
- Front neckline facing - 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to facing pieces.
- Stitch darts on the front, press allowances upwards.
- Serge the center back edges separately. Stitch the center seam from the zipper mark downwards. Press seams open, pressing the zipper opening flat. Insert zipper.
- Attach the back sleeve parts to the back, press allowances towards the sleeve and serge. Attach the front sleeve parts to the front, press allowances towards the sleeve and serge.
- Stitch the upper sleeve edges, press allowances towards the back and serge. Stitch the lower sleeve edges and side seams in one continuous line, press allowances towards the back and serge.
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the facings, press allowances open. Serge the lower edge. Place the facing on the garment right sides together and stitch the neckline edge, clip allowances at curves. Turn the facing to the wrong side, straighten, press. Secure the facing to the zipper tape and to the shoulder seams.
- Serge the hem allowance of the garment and sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
